BAOM was founded in 2015

by lecturers in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine from the three Faculties of Dental Medicine in Bulgaria:

Main objectives of the Association are:

• To contribute to the development of Oral Medicine in Bulgaria.
• To create conditions for adoption of new innovative technologies in dentistry.
• To analyze and inform society on issues concerned with the development and application of Oral Medicine in Bulgaria.
• To carry out dialogue and experience exchange in the field of Oral Medicine between dentists in the country and abroad.
• To assist in enhancing the professional qualification of its members, to help them in carrying out their professional activities with respect for the ethical principles, and to improve the prestige of medical profession.

Promotion of Association’s activities is accomplished by:

• Introducing to the society the novelties in the field of Oral Medicine – scientific articles, textbooks, monographs, scientific journals, etc.
• Organizing and conducting conferences, seminars, symposia, round tables, etc. – independently or in cooperation with other NGOs, state authorities and institutions, at national and international level.
• Organizing seminars and specialized training courses in the field of Oral Medicine for the dentists in Bulgaria.
• International experience exchange with similar organizations and membership of the Association in related international structures.
